Come and listen in to my radio station Where the host of heaven sings Turn your radio on, turn your radio on If you wanna hear the sounds of Zion Coming from the land of endless springs Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. Turn your radio on and listen to the music in the air Turn your radio on and glory to share. Turn your lights down low and listen to the master’s radio Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. Come and listen in to the glory-land chorus, Listen to the glad Hoseanna Rose. Turn your radio on, turn your radio on Get a little taste of joys awaiting, Get a little heaven in your soul Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. Turn your radio on and listen to the music in the air Turn your radio on and glory to share. Turn your lights down low and listen to the master’s radio Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. Listen to songs of the fathers and the mothers And the many friends gone on before Turn your radio on, turn your radio on Some eternal morning we shall meet them Over on the hallelujah shores Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. Turn your radio on and listen to the music in the air Turn your radio on and glory to share. Turn your lights down low and listen to the master’s radio Get in touch with God, turn your radio on. We were going to the all night dance You said you would never waver But you felt like a cheap romance And gave him a party favor. Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya There was a rock a mile high, Now I sit and watch the gravel fly I once thought it would never change Now I know it’ll never be the same. You went to the rest room and I went To the punchbowl But you found the men’s room and Spiked punch, it took it’s toll. Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya There was a rock a mile high, Now I sit and watch the gravel fly I once thought it would never change Now I know it’ll never be the same. …never be the same. “When you said you loved me like a brother it hurt so bad I had to say uncle.” …never be the same. “She speaks 15 languages but she won’t talk to me.” …never be the same. I gave you a pink corsage, But you liked him and gave me the dodge. By the time you two hit the floor, I didn’t want to dance with you no more. Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya Dance with the one who brung ya Stay true to the one who trusts ya There was a rock a mile high, Now I sit and watch the gravel fly I once thought it would never change Now I know it’ll never be the same.

Zig Zag 03:10
Don’t zig-zag me baby, don’t have the patience or the time. The way you been acting, you got a grown man crying. You tell me lot of things guaranteed to enlighten me. I tell you baby I’m not blind, I can see. Don’t zig-zag me baby, don’t have the patience or the time. Living with you is like a song without rhyme. Now you thought it was really cool to stay up all night, talk till dawn. Making love to you is about exciting as mowing the lawn. Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggitty Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig Don’t zig-zag me baby, don’t have the patience or the time. Living with you, is about to drive me to the line. Now I’m reading lot of books to help me communicate with you. You make me so God-damn mad gonna call my lawyer and sue. Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggitty Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity-Ziggity-Zaggity Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig-Zag, Zig Don’t zig-zag me baby, don’t have the patience or the time. Living with you is like a song without rhyme. We’re going some place, I’m not sure where we’re gonna go. But you can take this old boat, you can row.

Woah, she’s a lady that holds you She’s a woman that knows you She’s a mother that scolds you She’s a lover that loves you Elevator’s running strong Bring me back where I belong Keep me in that sweet misery Woah, she’s a dog that pets you She’s a lizard that licks you She’s a she’s a dog that pets you She’s a lizard that licks you Roaches running down the hall, Don’t worry they’re pretty small Better than a Row-Boy any day. Train rolls by, early in the morn Shakes me in my sleeping bones And I’m loving every minute of it. Woah, she’s coffee in the morning, Wine in the evening. She’s coffee in the morning, Wine in the evening Rats With Keys and bad TV, Chairs in trees and Acid Kings, Frank Miller’s guitar. Woah, she’s a prayer that’s answered she’s a prayer that’s answered she’s a prayer that’s answered she’s a prayer that’s answered Zumberg called Washington Ronnie’s coming with his guns Those kids are having too much fun. Train rolls by, early in the morn Shakes me in my sleeping bones And I’m loving every minute of it. Woah, she’s chimes in the breeze she’s chimes in the breeze she’s chimes in the breeze she’s chimes in the breeze Woah, she’s a lady that holds you she’s a dog that pets you She’s a woman that knows you She’s wine in the evening Those she seems pretty old, Always there when you get home, So good such fun So good such fun So good such fun

It’s where we used to sit and talk till dawn Now she kisses all the boys on… Her front porch, her front porch, her front porch, her front porch. You never have to worry about a fight, Until her parents flick on the light. On her front porch, her front porch, her front porch, her front porch. You may be worried about the chiggers on the lawn. But you’ll still get the bug on… Her front porch, her front porch, her front porch, her front porch. You may hesitate before the endeavor. ‘cause you know that it’s now or never On her front porch, her front porch, her front porch, her front porch. Yeah-her front porch, yeah-her front porch, yeah-her front porch.

Anthea A 02:09
Anthea A. self-made billionairese, Made her fortune through mail-order sales. A former Avon representative, she dabbled in Tupperware on the weekends. By day an American working wife, who have guessed about her secret life? When she took the kiddies out for spin, who would have guessed her intentions of sin? Anthea A. you got blood on your fingers You’re eating the cream of America’s youth, Photo on a milk carton ain’t much good ‘Cause Johnny’s been turned into soup. Anthea had a certain way with kids She even practiced on her own brood The right mix of herbs and spices, She could turn kids into food. Her speciality was after-school car pools, A wagon-load of flesh was her cup of tea. Duran Duran vids were more than enough, To shut the kids up until dinner time. Anthea A. you got blood on your fingers You’re eating the cream of America’s youth, Photo on a milk carton ain’t much good ‘Cause Johnny’s been turned into soup. The delicacies of Anthea A. made Betty Crocker look like a fluke. Limb and organs and fingers and stuff, Nothing grown-up, nothing rough. Anthea A. better watch your step, You’re skating on mighty thin ice. What are your neighbors gonna think, When they see their child on a bed of rice? Anthea A. you got blood on your fingers You’re eating the cream of America’s youth, Photo on a milk carton ain’t much good ‘Cause Johnny’s been turned into soup.

Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. We’re gonna feed chickens at the farm, We’re gonna milk cows, I’ll show you how. There’s lot to do at the farm, We’ll bale hay and lay in it all day. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Suns always shining on the farm, There’s no clouds, no reason to cry. Everything is beautiful on the farm, C’mon now, I will show you how. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Show you how to feed those chickens, milk that cow, walk that dog. It’s all the things you do on the farm. Lot to do on the farm, we love the farm, C’mon honey, I wanna show you how to farm. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Go to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free. Go to the farm. Go to the farm. Going to the farm, to the farm, to the farm with me, Go to the farm and we will be free Go to the farm. Go to the farm.

Two dollars in my pocket, sun’s getting low Time I was looking for a place to sleep Winds coming up, shelter’s mighty scarce, Time I was thinking about something to eat. Bowl of chili May not seem like much What I need’s a dose of that chili And a spoon to ‘sup it up. Dollar on the counter, three-legged stool Darker the brew, the deeper my ache. Don’t make it deluxe, just make it thick Chili done right is a chili that sticks Bowl of chili May not seem like much What I need’s a dose of that chili And a spoon to ‘sup it up. Six voices stringing in the weathered street Meet a friend that's broker than me. He asks me for change, I give him what I got Here’s my last dollar. No use for pockets when there’s no coins to keep As long as that last bowl of chili was deep Chili done right is a chili that hangs and puts to your bones to sleep Bowl of chili May not seem like much What I need’s a dose of that chili And a spoon to ‘sup it up. Lava’s still burning inside of me Doing its job and keeping me fed Don’t ask for more belly so full it hurts Sky full of stars makes a fine dessert. Bowl of chili May not seem like much What I need’s a dose of that chili And a spoon to ‘sup it up. Bowl of chili May not seem like much What I need’s a dose of that chili And a spoon to ‘sup it up.

about

AGS ARE GO is a previously unreleased collection of live recordings the New Agriculturalists produced while working on their album DEAD DOG REVIVED. In the process of warming up for the days tracking by playing their live set, someone had the brilliant idea to hit record on these rehearsals for posterity. It’s the only surviving live recording of the four piece New Agriculturalists circa spring and summer of 1986.

After the DEAD DOG REVIVED and AGS ARE GO sessions were completed, bassist Steve Vernon left the country for Japan. For their live shows that summer, old studio pal and contributor, Susie Barnet filled in for Steve on bass duties.
